★「限定」のjust、only

「ただ～だけ」という限定の意味を持つjust、onlyを加えるだけで英文のニュアンスが随分変わります。
just、onlyを挿入するのは、被修飾語の直前が原則です。

例文
The villain killed a couple of cops. → The villain killed just a couple of cops.

I have to pay 5 dollars. → I only have to pay 5 dollars.

★「その時点までに」のyet

yetには「もう」「まだ」「それまでで」という意味があります。
yetは基本的に文末や節の末尾に挿入しますが、名詞句にかかる場合は句の直後に挿入します。

例文
That was the worst traffic accident in China. → That was the worst traffic accident yet in China.

Tom hasn’t shown up. → Tom hasn’t shown up yet.

★「強調」のeven

evenには日本語の「さえ」の意味があります。
evenを挿入するのは、被修飾語の直前です。

例文
Tom didn’t understand what the teacher was saying. → Even Tom didn’t understand what the teacher was saying.

Tom said "Go to hell” → Tom even said “Go to hell”

★「強調」のany

平叙文のanyは「任意の一つを選ぶ」という意味で「どれでも」「誰でも」。
条件節のanyは「最小限の数量を想定する」という意味で「少しでも」「一つでも」。
平叙文の中では名詞を単数形に、条件節の中では名詞を単数形にします。

例文
Playing video games is more fun than other hobbies. → Playing video games is more fun than any other hobby.（平叙文）
